Performance meets safety

Plus, our sports sunglasses are shock-absorbent,

durable and made of the latest - and lightest - materials. Polaroid UltraSight™ lenses were developed at our UK Research Centre. They give you both visual accuracy and full polarizing efficiency in a featherweight lens. You can see what’s ahead – and what’s coming up behind. Chose interchangeable lenses and you’ll only need one pair of sunglasses for all weather conditions. And, if you're concerned about eye fatigue, our sunglasses are definately the answer. Lens colour – more than just a question of style

Clear – protects your eyes from flying debris at dawn and dusk and gives you all the light you can get.

Grey – you to see colours and road contours more accurately whether it’s bright or cloudy. Great all-around performance.

Brown – enhances road and track surfaces in bright light, see better and run safely.

Copper - Gives you good definition in low light, for when you’re getting a head start on your training at dawn, or going for an early evening run.

10k race

Running for victory
Every year Polaroid host their 10k Road Race Series. This annual community event takes place in 4 locations across Scotland – Helensburgh, Clydebank, Dumbarton and Vale of Leven, and attracts around 1000 runners per race.

There are also school fun runs. Around 13 local primary schools participate and they benefit from prizes towards school funds. And the Polatoddle is a shorter event for the under 7's. These Polaroid races benefit the community. Over the past 25 years local schools have received an estimated £25k, and local athletics have received an estimated £150k helping to grow athletics at grass roots level. Everyone who takes part or supports the runners has a fantastic day. Here’s to the next series of races, visit the website for more details.

Polaroid running sunglasses - Gear review: "Taking Jelly Babies from Strangers" and RunningAmok

sunglasses for running non-polarized and polarized views

“The choice of lenses is ideal for someone like me who wears contact lenses. I was amazed by how light and comfortable the glasses were. No fogging or bouncing whilst running, and a clear field of vision with the amber lenses lightening the gloomy afternoon. They will now be a regular item in my kit bag. Marks out of 10 - it can only be 10„ Richard Merry, Essex
