Stunning heritage designs come together to create a distinctive new collection for 2012 from Polaroid
With 75 years of unique timeless designs to choose from Polaroid Eyewear has created a totally glamorous range of heritage style sunglasses for its 2012 Best under the sun Collection that includes a new Aviator frame to mark this anniversary year, called Seventy-five. And for every pair of sunglasses sold from this Collection, Polaroid will make a donation to international charity Sightsavers, helping fund their work to eliminate avoidable blindness in some of the world’s poorest countries. Simply perfect for style lovers everywhere, these gorgeous frames are drawn from original Polaroid designs dating from the 1930s to the 1980s. Every pair is fitted with the latest superb UltraSight™ premium polarized lenses giving total UV protection and glare-free vision.
Polaroid has added a host of new styles to its Best under the sun Collection for 2012, which now provides a choice of 20 stunning heritage designs. Each comes in two colourways and is made from the highest quality materials giving superb frame detailing and colour clarity. All Best under the sun frames come with a discreet golden or silver Polaroid signature printed on the lens too.
New styles for 2012 include the rock and roll black or demi frame designs of Buddy, contrasting nicely with the relaxed 1950s California sunshine frames of Bel-Air for him and Jive frames for her! For would-be road rebels, try some curved Rider frames from the 1960s or the first of the big frames – Twist – in a striking plum or brown colourway. From the 1970s, Sophia features generous disco-diva frames with open temple arms, while this cat-suit Elvis-era also brings Vegas frames in silver or gold. 75th Anniversary Special Edition Aviators
The highlight of the 2012 Best under the sun Collection is the special edition Seventy-five Aviator frame. This best-selling design, first sold in the 1970s, has now been recreated for the 21st century. They are fitted with Polaroid’s premium polarized UltraSight™ lenses treated with anti-reflective coating on the back and stylish flash mirroring on the front for perfect glare free vision and a great look. Choose from two colourways – a gold and tortoiseshell frame with polarized gold mirrored green lenses or a silver and black frame with polarized gold mirrored grey lenses - for a great, instantly identifiable look.
