The Clipper Skippers are back with their sailing sunglasses
The team are back from their leg of the Clipper Round the World Race. The challenge was tough, but they are all back safe and sound. Here are a few pictures … Continue reading
Monday 19th Oct
Steady winds but not enough to break 10 knots. The race will be called off tomorrow anyway. We are now going into our emergency rations for food as the trip has been quite longer than planned. This usually means making … Continue reading
Sunday 18th Oct
Mother watch today, should be the last one for the trip. Managed to do it all without any patches as I have ran out of them. Hopefully I will be able to keep the seasickness away until Rio without drug. … Continue reading
Saturday 17th Oct
Upwind sailing still which starts to be very boring, but at least we are moving even if not at the speed we would like to. Water maker is playing up so water rationed and to be used only for cooking … Continue reading

Thursday 15th Oct

At last steady wind all day. The bad news is that we had Singapore on our beam in the morning and by evening they had overtaken us, not to be seen again.
Tuesday 13th Oct
We had some wind today, allowing an average of 5 knots and helping to extract ourselves from the Doldrums, not an easy task. We also had some visitors last night: a couple of birds landing on the boat for a … Continue reading
Monday 12th Oct
The day started as the calmest so far with no wind and glassy seas but tonight we have a breeze and are moving at a mind blowing speed of 3 knots. Hopefully the end of the frustrating Doldrums.
