Mick Whittle wearing his Polaroid Reach P7126A fishing sunglasses.
Here’s what Fly Fisherman, Mick Whittle, had to say about his Polaroid fishing sunglasses.
“My Polaroid Reach P7126A fishing sunglasses have been proven to be excellent value whilst I’ve been fishing. They’re very well made and a very comfortable fit.”
“As I’m a Fly Fisherman, the side protections on these sunglasses are exceptionally good. I’m confident I will never get a fly in the eye. I have recommended them to all my angling friends.”

Polaroid Sunglasses - for the serious fly fisherman
I have managed to use Polaroid fishing sunglasses on both competitive and pleasure days fishing on Grafham, Rutland, Pitsford and Ravensthorpe reservoirs. My use of the sunglasses has resulted in winning the Rose Bowl at Pitsford water on 13/06/11 in the East Midlands Trout Fishing Association Summer Match.
The large, polarizing lenses have proved invaluable for spotting rising fish at distance, checking depths and searching for drop-offs which can prove crucial in a match situation. For a pleasure day these glasses are also ideal as they reduce glare, increase visibility and make for a more comfortable and productive days fishing.
Glasses are an essential safety item, especially when boat fishing as a team of flies can be cast in very close proximity to your boat partner. Therefore, eye protection is a requirement for match fishing and should be worn in conjunction with a hat or cap, regardless of conditions. The additional side guards not only reduce glare but also offer added protection which is great and also give them a unique look.
The protective case fits perfectly into a tackle box and saves the glasses from getting damaged during transportation.
Having shared views with other anglers in Invicta Fly Fishing Club, Polaroid’s range of fishing glasses has something to offer for all occasions and to suit different personal styles.
I have thoroughly enjoyed testing the glasses and even wear them for the car journey on the way to fishing competitions with the addition of some rose tinted optimism. I would recommend these glasses to anyone who sees visibility and eye protection as a top priority.

Ryan Worker is the Captain of the England Youth Flyfishing Team. He recently tried some Polaroid fishing sunglasses and this is what he thought of them:
A fantastic pair of glasses for fishing in. The shield at the side protected me from the fly/hook when casting as well as stopping sunlight from creeping in around the edge of the lens. The Polaroid lenses allowed me to see well into the water. The sunglasses were a very comfortable fit with soft nose grip, they stayed in place and were excellent in bright sunlight as well during duller periods. I was happy to wear them all day. They are also a fashionable design which is always appreciated. I will continue to wear these glasses for as long as I can, I am very pleased with them.

When fisherman Clive Stubbington told us about a fishing marathon he was arranging to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, we jumped at the chance to support him.
The fishing marathon will start on 28 May in Dover and will last for five weeks as Clive journeys along the south coast, finishing at Lands End in Cornwall. More locations will be added over the upcoming weeks so keep an eye on his website, Ivejustgonefishing.com, if you’re a keen angler and would like to take part.
Polaroid's Reach P7126A has removable side shields and a neck cord.
Clive will be selling raffle tickets along the journey to raise money for the RNLI, and Polaroid Eyewear has donated pairs of fishing sunglasses as prizes.
