Alex Seroge Ignatian wearing Polaroid Constant P4104B.
Alex Seroge Ignatian is an upcoming young designer, and Polaroid Eyewear is supporting the launch of his new spring and summer collection for 2012.
We caught up with Alex to find out more about his inspiration, and to see how his creations are taking shape.
“My spring and summer collection takes inspiration from historical England,” said Alex. “It’s influenced by different periods of England’s heritage, which my collection brings forward to the modern era.”
“After my spring and summer pre-collection was well received at the recent i heart fashion show, I’m continuing with my design process. I’m also expanding my existing outfits and ‘fine tuning them’, adding to the most successful pieces to produce a strong collection.”
And on the subject of the i heart fashion show, take a look at the rehearsal video. The buzz backstage was electric and the talent behind the creations is inspiring.

Although there are an estimated 190,000 migraine attacks every day, there are still several misconceptions surrounding the cause of migraines and the illness itself.
Myth 1 – the pain felt by a regular headache is caused in the same way as the pain felt during a migraine. It’s actually the opposite. Headache pain is caused by the narrowing of the blood vessels, while migraine pain is caused by the expansion of the blood vessels.
Myth 2 –some types of food are the greatest triggers. Caffeine, chocolate, cheese, alcohol – although these might be triggers for some people, it’s wrong to assume the same shoe fits all.
Myth 3 – migraines are only experienced by women. Although statistically more women then men suffer from the disease, many men are also affected by the illness. And don’t forget that children can suffer from them as well.

The challenge that the PlanetSolar expedition is undertaking is immense. So we shudder to think what went through their minds when news came through their radars about the Japanese tsunami. We’ve been keeping an eye on them as Polaroid is proud to be a sponsor and official sunglasses supplier to PlanetSolar.
At the time the tsunami hit, PlanetSolar was in the vicinity, near to the Polynesian Marqueses islands in the Pacific Ocean. But thanks to the latest satellite communication technology, the team and the boat knew exactly what time the waves would strike the islands, so they could navigate to shelter.

Honey P8122C - the no quibble refund makes it easy to try them.
Heat, types of food, movement, bright sunlight and glare – these are just some things that can trigger a migraine. Because of the vast and sometimes undetectable causes for an attack, it can be difficult for a GP to treat the problem.
Because of this, many people who suffer from migraine headaches have found their own ways to cope with their symptoms. From talking to members of Migraine Action, we’ve found that over most of those we asked wear sunglasses to tone down the glare from day light and bright light.
And it’s not just sunlight that causes a problem. We found that sunglasses are also worn by sufferers when watching television to reduce the glare off the screen, when out in windy conditions to shelter their eyes, and even as passengers in a car during the evening to cut down the dazzle of headlights.

Steve wearing Polaroid Venture P7000A with his wife, Maxine.
It’s not everyday someone sets themselves the challenge of running the Paris marathon. So we were pleased to hear how Steve Lawson-Smith got on wearing his Polaroid sports sunglasses, Venture P7000A.
“My wife Maxine and I ran the Paris marathon last Sunday wearing Polaroid sports sunglasses and I was impressed with them,” said Steve.
“Being able to tilt the lens meant that the sweat from my eyebrows didn’t collect inside the glasses, so they didn’t steam up. Also the non-slip material kept them on my sweaty nose!”
“It was about 30 degrees and blindingly sunny at the event so the sunglasses really helped me get round ok without a headache.”
