- Polaroid Eyewear’s Dumbarton 10K gets underway.
The third and final Thursday evening event of the 2010 Polaroid Eyewear Series continued the success of this year with over 940 entrants for the Dumbarton event.
Overall winner was Tewoldeberhan Mengisteab from Shettleston Harriers in a time of 29 mins and 58 seconds.
First lady was once again Alison Doherty of Central AC in a time 36 mins and 50 seconds.
The final event in the series is this Sunday 13 June at Loch Lomond shores, a festival of running for ages 3 – 93+! The races start with the pre-school and primary 1-3 run, followed by the primary 4-7 schools race in which 13 local primary schools will compete. The 5k fun run and 10k race start at 10.15 am and 10.00 am respectively and all races will finish through the main finish tunnel at Loch Lomond shores. Get your running sunglasses ready!
