A blouse from M&S - the start of a relaxed chic holiday

It’s the second instalment of our advice on planning the perfect holiday wardrobe. We began with the elegant traveller and today we’re moving on to relaxed chic – the look for women who know that perfect jeans and a great top can take you from breakfast to a casual dinner without being underdressed.  When it comes to women’s sunglasses  they’re likely to take their cue from our classic aviators.

Or, they may even look to our men’s range for something with strong, straight lines.  Once you have the right sunglasses, the rest is easy… handbag, sandals and white blouse.

A handbag isn’t just for the holidays. For an example of canvas at its very chicest, check out Net-a-porter.com and see just what Anya Hindmarch can do with a fun bag. This one is roomy enough for sunnies, lipstick and the odd casual purchase. Or, if you’re a fan of Juicy Couture, My Wardrobe.com has a wonderful tote  that will work with just about anything.

Sandals, but not as you know them. A little embellishment can be the difference between…well looking fine and getting lots of compliments. These jewelled sandals from Office might be just the ticket  Or, if you prefer, this  pair from Next have a more neutral look.

Whiter than white blouse. Think cool. Think linen. Marks & Spencer have this collarless linen blouse that would be ideal with jeans or a pair of wide-legged linen trousers. Or, if you like something with a more dramatic cut. Check out Cos . There’s no on-line shop, but the blouses are amazing.

The next installment is for those of you who like the new sport styles.
