Fitflops - making every walk more of a ride

At Polaroid Sunglasses, we believe that if you can combine fashion with performance you’re on to a winner. We’ve invested in the technology and processes to ensure our sunglasses cut glare and dangerous UV light. And it’s great to see other companies developing new and better products.

Fitflops are a bit of a design revolution. And Fitness footwear is the place to go for a huge selection of them. They were invented by Bliss Spa and Soap & Glory founder Marcia Kilgore. Each Fitflop has  Microwobbleboard™ technology designed to make your legs work harder by constantly challenging your stability. As you try to compensate and re-balance yourself, your leg muscles have to work harder. The result: an almost effortless workout.

Paul taking a break and not training, Xiamen area coast, China.

Welcome to this week’s Polaroid Eyewear cycle challenge update – team of colleagues cycling from Glenbrittle in Skye to Glasgow in one day. For the background and reasons why look at the previous posts on this blog page.

Its now 10 days to go until the date of the event itself, Saturday morning is ‘Last Chance Saloon’ for preparation. Last weeks training for me was severely disrupted by travelling to Asia with Polaroid Eyewear for the week and whilst I did make it to the gym bike 4 times, it’s not quite the same.

When it comes to golf bags, almost isn't good enough

My wife’s ambition knows no bounds. One minute she’s asking me to review Polaroid’s latest golf sunglasses, and the next she’s on about changing my golf bag. It’s a shame to wear the latest golf sunglasses and carry a bag that’s seen better days. So, I’ve been doing a bit of shopping. To save all of you out there an unnecessary shopping trip, here’s my top picks for golf bags.

Helensburgh 10K Start Line, Thursday 20 May 2010

Thursday saw the first 10k Race in the 2010 Polaroid Eyewear Series, held at Helensburgh on the Clyde coast. With 933 entrants, the highest level for many years, plus we have similar levels of entries already in place for the forthcoming Clydebank, Dumbarton and Vale of Leven events.

The overall race winner was Amanuel Hagos, one of the Eritrean runners within Shettleston Harriers in a time of 30:37. First female was Alison Docherty of Central AC in a time of 36:26.

The Polaroid Eyewear Series is very clear in its aim that whilst it provides accurate and organised races for Elite athletes, 90% of the runners we cater for are there to enjoy their run and race against only themselves. In that respect it was fantastic to see the numbers involved out enjoying their sport, whatever their pace. Congratulations to all the runners.
