Sunglasses and animal prints. What could be more glamorous?

m1_951679[1]Nothing is as controversial as animal prints. Well…okay, politics might just cause more debate. I can’t tell you how many women I know hate the idea of animal prints. Strangely, there’s just as many who seem to love them. While one camp won’t get near them, the other sometimes goes a little over the top. Animal prints are definitely something you shouldn’t overdo. Less, as they say, is definitely more. So, quicker than you can say Pat Butcher’s earrings, here are some ideas you might enjoy exploring.

jp244chocolatep_mediumGet a dress! One good piece can really go a long way. Remember to keep any jewellry understated. Ditto shoes and bag. Think simple black Polaroid sunglasses.

The one in the picture is from Laura Ashley. Team it with elegant boots. Or, if you want to invest a little more, visit mywardrobe.com and take a look at a wonderful dress from Manoush . Fun and serious all at the same time.

jk273charcoalp_mediumGet a cardigan! A ladylike cardigan is a sure-fire winner. This one is from the House of Fraser and is made by Oasis. Perfect for that neat black pencil skirt, and just as stylish over a crisp white blouse. This may be just the thing to go with a pair of aviators.  Or, you might want to put those big shiny pearls on.

Get a pair of gloves! Simple. Understated. A little surprising. Gloves make a statement and when they have an animal print, that statement gets a little more interesting. The glamour is definitely there – you can almost feel yourself travelling back to Hollywood in the 1950s. It’s all about convertibles, brisk ocean breezes and casting sessions. Longchamp do a wonderful pair of leopard print gloves and you can find their products at their flagship shop on New Bond Street or in John Lewis.
