Fashion sunglasses for lady-like dressing

by Perfect Vision

asosIt’s the in-between season. Autumn is just ahead, but summer feels a little distant. But that doesn’t mean you can put your sunglasses away. When the sun is lower in the sky, there’s still glare – and it’s glare that makes it uncomfortable to drive. So keep your shades to hand even when the forecast is for rain. One of the biggest trends coming our way is a move toward lady-like dressing. That doesn’t mean you need to start shopping like the late great Queen Mother. But what it does mean is that classic shapes and fabrics are making a comeback.

If you like a bit of check in you wardrobe (and who doesn’t) why not have a look at Asos and a great little shift in particular.  Read more…

Polaroid sunglasses – supporting a good cause.

by Perfect Vision

in Fishing,Sports

IMG_2911Here at Polaroid, we like to get to know our customers. And some of our best are carp enthusiasts. They’re out in all weather, making the most of rivers, lakes and ponds all across the country. Carpfishing UK  is a popular site where members share fishing tips, maps, opinions and just about everything else related to angling. They’re a great bunch. They’re also happy to put Polaroid polarized sunglasses to the test and tell us exactly what they think. So, when it was time for their annual North V South charity match, we were only too happy to send them some raffle prizes. In the end, they raised over £1,600 for Alder Hey and Great Ormond Street Hospitals. And they sent us some photos, too.

So, a round of applause to Carpfishing UK from all of us at Polaroid Eyewear.

Monday 19th Oct

Steady winds but not enough to break 10 knots. The race will be called off tomorrow anyway. We are now going into our emergency rations for food as the trip has been quite longer than planned. This usually means making do with what we find around.

Mother watch today, should be the last one for the trip. Managed to do it all without any patches as I have ran out of them. Hopefully I will be able to keep the seasickness away until Rio without drug. The ETA is now the 23rd or about 5 days later than planned.

Saturday 17th Oct

Upwind sailing still which starts to be very boring, but at least we are moving even if not at the speed we would like to. Water maker is playing up so water rationed and to be used only for cooking and drinking.

Friday 16th Oct

Still going upwind. Another challenge in this conditions is to keep the seasickness at bay. We passed the equator tonight, another land mark in this trip, and celebrated with a wee dram, but no ceremony.
