We’ve written before about protecting children’s eyes from the damaging effects of UV rays. Their pupils are more vulnerable because the cornea, lens and fluids are clearer and allow more light to enter the retina. Parents need to ensure kids’ sunglasses have the European Standard CE mark or the British Standard BSEN 1836:2005. To help spread the message, Linda Willet and Winnie Turner from Polaroid’s manufacturing site in the Vale of Leven visited a local nursery. The children learned some valuable lessons about how to protect their eyes.
And, if we do say so ourselves, they look pretty fantastic!
Thanks to Linda and Winnie for being so generous with their time and energy. And thanks to Andrew Cameron Nursery in Bellsmyre.
